Do you have a backup plan when things go wrong?
Today a major technical component of my landing pages went down unexpectedly. They are typically reliable as are most software solutions we use every day. Today was different.
My landing page service provider was down for the majority of the day. That means all of my pages from my advertising and other website pages wasn’t working. This means I was making less money today. In some cases like a friend of mine who had a major launch starting today he made nothing.
Technology crashes and issues happen all the time and are unavoidable in the long run. We try to plan and put contingencies in place, but sometimes things just don’t work.
My prior planning procedures allowed me to have an alternative landing page system in place. But for some this was a disastrous day. If you had not planned for this to happen then you might be scampering all day to re-build your campaigns on someone else’s platform just to make up for the loss. However, by the time you got that done the crisis is over and you’ve lost an entire day.
It really comes down to how much prior thought and planning you have put into a possible scenario like this and how you react when it happens.

Brush it off. Don’t be so quick to change providers and bad mouth them because the “other guys” will have the same issue some time in the future as well.
Casey Super Tip: Because of my prior planning, I was able to quickly switch all of my landing pages over to my alternate source and get back to business quickly.
